She was adorable.

Most of her smiles were from her laughing at her charming husband.

She had one of those perfectly proportioned pregnant bellies that makes those of us who weren’t so proportionate (ahem.. me.. raising hand!) a wee bit jealous.

I was so honored to capture a sweet moment for this family as they get ready to welcome a new little one into their family.

Just a quick sneak peak of a few while I am still editing. :)

We went to a field…

It was cold but they were troopers..

I was loving how this family’s coloring was set off by the field..

There was a ferocious looking miniature greyhound dog that barked his fool head off the entire session..

This sweet family is moving to Washington in a few short days and wanted a family picture to celebrate their time in San Diego.. I was happy to oblige..

The bottom line.. This family takes some mighty fine pictures.

Miss B is hot..

Seriously.. she and I had a blasty blast at her headshot session. I was so excited over how her face looked on my screen!! I am also very privileged to call Miss B my good friend and Slurpee buddy. :)

Dang.. this girl killed it! I am still editing away, so I am only posting one for now.. Check back for the rest of the session… Umm.. you might pass out a little. ;)

I love being a mom and, this boy I took a picture of will be turning 10 in a few short weeks.. How is that even possible that I have been a mother that long…

He came home from school with a migraine on Monday and slept almost 5 hours. I used to take pictures of my babies sleeping during the day, so when I went to check on him and he was still sleeping.. I thought I had better snap a picture to capture this moment. He will probably be 18 and heading off to college and I will still want to take pictures of him in peaceful slumber.

The reason.. when he sleeps, his face relaxes back to what he looked like as a 2 year old boy. That boy I would watch intently until I could rest easy knowing he was breathing ok.. that boy whose cheeks were so soft and squishable I couldn’t resist kissing them.. that boy who still snuggled with me while watching Bob the Builder.. (umm Can I get a.. Can we fix it?? Yes we can!)

That boy who no longer lets me do any of those mommy things. Growing up is tough on so many levels.. but above all else, I’m glad I get to be that boy’s momma. :)

I am having fun with this blogsite thing.. so many amazing features! I am loving it now that I have it figured out. :)

I had the absolute privilege of taking family photos for some friends of mine that recently adopted 2 beautiful brown babies from Uganda. I was laughing the entire time because Shannon and Brian have infectious laughter that you simply cannot ignore. In fact.. were you at Harry Griffin on Memorial Day?? You probably heard us then! :)
